The evening kick-off added to the mystique of the night for the young first timers – floodlights, fireworks, and even a bagpiper – being that Newport Gwent Dragons played Glasgow Warriors.
Unfortunately the Dragons lost, due in our opinion, to a forward pass that led to a try for Glasgow, missed by the ref and TV official.
We had great seats, filling an entire row right on the touchline, I’m told that we even had a brief slot on the TV when the ball was kicked to touch and narrowly missed being caught by one of our dads! Stick to football fella!
This session enabled dads and their children to share an experience that they will never forget – first live sport game together, giant hotdogs and lots of cwtches together to keep warm.
If you are a dad, living in Newport or Monmouthshire and are aged 14 – 25, get in touch to see how Dads Can can support you.
We are not just about parenting advice or employment support, although we do offer this, we provide opportunities for Dads to experience new opportunities that some find difficult to access on their own.
Get in touch however works best for you for more info.
